Emmaus 4-Miler Draws Happy, Chilly Runners [VIDEO]

Sunday was a beautiful day for a race.

The 36th-annual 4-Mile Classic road race and Fun Run in Emmaus on Sunday were chilly but fun, and runners of all ages were definitely warmer at the end of their respective races than they were at the beginnings.

First up was the 1-mile Fun Run for the kids, then the four-mile race for the older runners.

Dan Sobrinski, 37, of Bethlehem led the field of 323 finishers with a time of 22 minutes and 29 seconds.  He was followed by Michael Miller, 20, of Salisbury Township at 22:55 and R. Reinhard, 36, of Emmaus at 23:38.

The top female finisher was Carolyn Dunharm, 37, of Center Valley with a time of 24:46. She was followed by Kristen Karwacki, 33, of Macungie at 25:09 and Kami Reinhard, 35, of Emmaus at 25:24.

Hosted by the Lehigh Valley Road Runners, the course started and finished at Emmaus High School and wove through local streets. Sunny skies provided a pleasant backdrop, but temperatures were a bit cool, and a bit of a biting breeze offered resistence for runners.
