Lower Macungie Pool Closes Today, September 5, 2016
Labor Day the Lower Macungie pool stands mostly empty. Fifty people remain for the last of lazy summer swim days. Goodbye summer 2016!
Leaves fall on the path to the Lower Macungie Township pool. It's Labor Day and the traditional end of summer... it's also the end of lazy swim days at the LMT pool. Today it closes. Leisurely chats poolside with a backdrop of happy squeals and energetic splashes is no more.
Normally bustling with kids and their parents, today the baby pool is deserted.
No lifeguard duty is required there. The ghost stand is forlorn.
