Snow Emergency Declared in Lower Macungie Township

Residents along snow emergency routes can keep their cars in in community center parking lots.

With forecasters predicting significant accumulations and near-blizzard conditions for the Lehigh Valley Thursday into Friday, Lower Macungie Township has declared a snow emergency.

According to an email from the township distributed at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, residents must remove all cars from snow emergency routes by midnight Thursday or risk being towed.

Residents who live along show emergency routes may use the parking lots at the Hills at Lockridge Community Center and the Wescosville Community Center, the email says.
