LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — The public should be aware of a woman who recently went into a Feasterville business with a cover story, then returned to steal a wallet, police say.

Lower Southampton Police are using the incident as a reminder to residents not to keep their valuables out in the open, at home or at work.

Earlier this month, they say, a woman walked into a business on Henry Avenue in Feasterville and asked questions about selling her mother's house. A few minutes later, police say, the woman appeared to have left the office.

But investigators believe she returned and took a wallet from a woman's purse. Soon afterward, the woman went on a shopping spree using cards that were in the wallet, according to police.

Lower Southampton Police shared a surveillance photograph of the woman on Monday.
