Bicyclist Struck In Lower Southampton Hit-And-Run

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A bicyclist was struck Wednesday night by the driver of an SUV who then left the scene, Lower Southampton Police say.

The crash happened at about 9:45 p.m. on Brownsville Road near the Sunoco gas station, according to police. They say the SUV, a silver Toyota RAV4, hit the bicyclist while he was riding south, then failed to stop.

The SUV continued south along Brownsville Road, then made a right turn onto East Bristol Road toward Bridgetown Pike, police said.

Police say the RAV4 probably has right-front passenger side damage and is probably missing the passenger-side mirror, which was found at the scene.

Police are asking anyone with information in the case to call Lower Southampton Township Police at 215-357-1234.
