​Brownsville Road Closure Postponed

UPDATE: Due to a change in the contractor’s schedule, the closure of Brownsville Road originally scheduled for Thursday has been postponed until further notice.

Brownsville Road between Philadelphia Avenue and Central Avenue in Bensalem and Lower Southampton townships will be closed on Thursday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for PECO tree removal operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.

During the closure Brownsville Road motorists will be detoured over Old Street Road, Route 132 (Street Road), Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike) and Bristol Road.

Local access will be maintained up to construction zone. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area.

The schedule is weather dependent.

PECO will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
