Bucks Co. Swim Club Closed After Falling Tree Injured 9
Nine people, including at least four children, were injured after lightning struck a tree at the club in Feasterville on Sunday.
FEASTERVILLE, PA — The Dolphin Swim Club in Feasterville remained closed Monday after nine people, including four children, were injured by a tree that fell there Sunday during a severe thunderstorm.
At about 5 p.m. on Sunday, lightning struck a tree at the club, at 260 W. Bristol Rd. in Feasterville. According to reports, the tree crashed down onto a tent pavilion, injuring people sheltering from the storm.
A Lower Southampton Township Police spokesman told Patch that at least four of those injured were children. Earlier reports had said only two children were hurt.

All of the injured were taken to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment, police said. 6ABC reported that six of the injuries were minor and three were serious. Police on Monday described the injuries to Patch as "minor to moderate."
Bill Oettinger, emergency management coordinator for Lower Southampton Township, said Monday his office was working to make sure the club is safe for patrons to return.

"Currently, we're trying to get the park inspected and a security fence put up," Oettinger said Monday morning.
Oettinger confirmed the nine injuries, but said there was no update available on the condition of those who were hurt.
On Facebook Monday, the swim club said it will remain closed "until further notice."
