County Line Road To Close In Lower Southampton

The closure next week will be for work on a railroad crossing by Norfolk Southern.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — County Line Road in Lower Southampton Township will be closed next week for work at a railroad crossing.

PennDOT said Thursday that Norfolk Southern Railroad will be doing the work at the crossing between Heaton Road and Somers Drive in Upper Southampton starting on Monday and running through Friday, Oct. 9.

During that time, County Line Road will be closed for 24 hours, PennDOT said. When it's closed, motorists will be detoured over Rt. 232 (2nd Street Pike), Jaymor Road and James Way.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays are expected.
