Man Swindled Cashier For $460: Southampton Police

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — Police say a New York man used trickery to swindle a cashier at a Feasterville grocery store for hundreds of dollars.

Lower Southampton Township Police are seeking Radu Anghel, 19, of Ozone Park, N.Y. in connection to the crime, which happened Aug. 21 at the Giant store in Feasterville.

According to police, Anghel asked a cashier there to change out some large bills for him. During the exchange, he was able to distract the cashier and make out with $460 more than he should have gotten, police said.

Anghel is described as a white male, standing 5'8" and weighing about 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Lower Southampton Township Police at 215-357-1235.
