Dog Attack In Trevose Under Investigation: Police
Lower Southampton Police updated a post to say the victim has contacted them.
LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — Police in Lower Southampton were investigating Tuesday after a report of a man being attacked by a dog in Trevose.
Originally, police took to Facebook Tuesday afternoon to say they'd received no report of an attack, calling posts to the contrary "Facebook rumors."
But after making the post, they updated it with this comment:

"Update: The dog bite victim has contacted us after seeing this post," police said. "The department is conducting an investigation. Call 215-357-1234 if you have any information."
Posts making the rounds on Facebook said the attack happened at the Planet Fitness in Trevose on Monday. One, by a man who said he is a friend of the victim, said the victim had to have 160 stitches in his face.

Another woman was posting on Facebook, saying the victim is her brother.
