Philly Man Charged In Lower Southampton Burglaries

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — A Philadelphia man has been arrested in Lower Southampton, charged with one burglary and suspected in two others, according to police.

Shane White, 32, was arrested Monday, Lower Southampton Township Police announced. They credited the victims' quick reporting of the crime and video surveillance footage in the Trevose section for the arrest.

According to police, officers made contact with White on Monday morning, when a resident reported that he was seen looking through residential trash cans in Trevose. He was cleared of any crime at that time and driven to Philadelphia, but was later found back in Lower Southampton, police said.

White was arraigned and is being held at Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post 10 percent of a $100,000 bail, police said.
