Police Seek School Yard Turf-Drivers

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — Police in Lower Southampton are looking for a group, possibly teens, that took a joy ride on the grass of a local elementary school.

The incident happened over winter break at Tawanka Elementary School, on Brownsville Road in Feasterville-Trevose. Surveillance video showed one of the group lift a security gate, then showed a car — a Ford Fusion — drive onto the grass in back of the school.

The footage shows a female walking from the Oakford section and getting into the car, which returned later and dropped her off along with a male passenger.

Lower Southampton Township Police released images from the video on Friday, but hid the faces in them because "they may be younger citizens that made poor choices in the New Year and we wish to get them back on track for 2020."
