The Malvern-East Whiteland area is in a phase of flux as over a dozen “significant” development projects are underway.
East Whiteland Township recently released a complete list of all current land development projects in the area.

- The new East Whiteland Fire Station, including new engine bays, office, on-site parking, stormwater management, and conneciton to public utilities
- Repairs to the East Whiteland Public Works Building
- 51 new townhomes on the Cockerham Tract, on Planebrook Road across from Fairway Drive
- Development of 149 acres of reclaimed mines at Atwater Village, including 401 townhomes, 80 twin homes, 68 single family homes, and additional public roadways
- 60 new townhomes at Linden Hall, north of Lancaster Avenue across from Sproul Road
- 9 apartment buildings at The Haven at Atwater, located east of Morehall Road across from Flat Road. Development of a hotel, bank, Wawa, and two restaurants in same area.
- 59 townhomes proposed at the Celia Tract, east of Frame Avenue
- Unknown number of apartments at the Uptown Worthington, south of Matthews Road and East of Morehall Road.
Not all of these projects have been approved. Many have already begun construction.
