Phillies' Hamels Puts Newtown Square Home on the Market

The ace pitcher and his wife have purchased another home in the same development.

After purchasing and moving into a new home in the same Newtown Square development for $2.25 million, Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels has put his old house up for sale for $1.55 million, according to philly.com.

The two-story, 8,000-square-foot colonial has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a three-car detached garage, the article said.

The short move may be temporary, though, according to The Boston Globe, which reports that Hamels is open to a trade to the Boston Red Sox in the offseason. Trading the Phillies’ top pitcher would net the team some younger players and signify that the Phils are officially in rebuild mode.
