2021 Primary Election Day In Delco: What's On The Ballot

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — The 2021 primary election in Pennsylvania is just around the corner, and several municipal races are on the ballot for local voters to decide.

Many of the races that appear on the ballots are uncontested in the primary, meaning that the only real decision voters will need to make will come in the general election in November.

However, there are some important primary races that will be determined May 18, not to mention the ballot questions on proposed constitutional amendments.

In most municipalities across Delaware County, contested races include primaries for school board, borough or township council, tax collector, and district judge.

Many of these primaries include cross-filing candidates, meaning that the primary will serve more as a nonpartisan qualifying round for the general election.

The county has installed drop-boxes for mail-in ballots for the 2021 election.

Polls will open Tuesday, May 18 at 7 a.m. Voters can cast ballots up until 8 p.m.
