3 Delco High Schools Makes Philly Mag's '40 Best' List
The magazine looked at 127 suburban schools and 81 schools in the city to come up with the area's 40 best.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A new list from Philadelphia Magazine lays out the best high schools in and around Philadelphia. And three schools in Delaware County made the list.
The magazine published "The 40 Best Public High Schools in Philadelphia and the Suburbs" recently after looking at public data Pennsylvania and New Jersey departments of education and the National Center for Education Statistics.
"These schools make up the top fifth of our separate rankings of Philadelphia district and charter schools (81 total) and suburban public schools in the Greater Philadelphia region (127 total)," the magazine said.

Radnor, Garnet Valley, and Strath Haven high schools made the list.

According to the magazine, Radnor has 1,219 students with a 98 percent graduation rate and a 91 percent college attendance rate.
It's got a 13:1 student-teacher ratio and have average 634 verbal and 652 math SAT scores.
Garnet Valley has 1,623 students, a 97 percent graduation rate, and a college attendance rate of 91 percent.
It's got a 15:1 student-teacher ratio and boast average 601 verbal and 614 math SAT scores.
At Strath Haven, there are 1,173 students. Ninety-six percent of those graduate and 96 percent attend college.
The student-teacher ratio is 13:1 and the average SAT scores are 604 for verbal and 614 for math.
