5,400 Feet Of Water Mains Being Replaced In Media
The $1.2 million water main replacement project is one of several ongoing in Delaware County totaling $6.9 million to improve water service.
MEDIA BOROUGH, PA — A $1.2 million water main replacement project is underway in Media Borough, according to Aqua Pennsylvania.
Crews are working to replace 5,353 feet of 12-, 10-, 8-, and 6-inch cast iron water mains on four roads in Media.
The new pipes are the being installed on the following roads:

- Edgemont Street between State Street and Fourth Street;
- Third Street between Monroe and Providence Road;
- Second Street between Edgemont Street and Haldeman Street;
- and Haldeman Street between Third Street and Front Street.
Aqua Pennsylvania said the project is expected to be completed by April 2021.
The work is part of $6.9 million in Aqua Pennsylvania infrastructure improvement projects underway to improve service reliability for customers throughout Delaware County.

This year, Aqua expects to replace approximately 45 miles of water main in Delaware County.
The new water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.
