Area College steps up to fight the COVID-19 Pandemic
Pennsylvania Institute of Technology donates masks and other PPE to Riddle Hospital.
During meetings held this week - one of the college's board members, Dr. Patricia Vassell, Director of Nursing at Riddle Hospital, mentioned that they were running short of masks. This afternoon P.I.T. Delivered masks, gloves, capes, and hats from our student nursing inventory. Though it was small - it was an excellent way for the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology to help our community in a time of need.
Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic, the need for PPE (Personal protective equipment) across the country has grown critical. We must step up and do what we can to protect our healthcare workers on the front lines battling this pandemic. We call on other area colleges to do the same. We are all in this together.
