Child Porn, Sexual Abuse Charges Filed Against Delco Man

Ivan Jackson-Freeman is accused of taking photos of a teen's genitals, showing the teen pornography, and sexually assaulting the teen.

CHESTER, PA — A Delaware County man has been arrested and charged with child pornography and sex abuse crimes, authorities said.

District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer Thursday said Ivan Jackson-Freeman, 66, of Chester, has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, sexual abuse of a child, corruption of minors, child pornography, and related charges. All charges filed against Jackson-Freeman are felonies.

The charges stem from Jackson-Freeman's alleged involvement with a 14-year-old boy who was a family friend of Jackon-Freeman's, the DA's office said.

According to authorities, Chester Police Officer Jose Alvarez and Detective Mark Bucci of the Criminal Investigation Division, both members of the DA’s Child Abuse and Exploitation Task Force, launched an investigation into the allegations in December last year.

Alvazez and Bucci interviewed the victim around that time at the Delaware County Child Advocacy Center. During the interview, the victim reported that the crimes had been committed at Jackson-Freeman's home in Chester, and involved repeated instances of oral sex and fondling.

Additionally, Jackon-Freeman is accused of taking pictures of the victim’s genitals, and showed the victim pornography.

Authorities obtained a search warrant for Jackson-Freeman's digital devices, the results of which corroborated the victim’s account of Jackson-Freeman's actions.

The digital evidence also revealed Jackson-Freeman set up cameras in his home's bathroom to surreptitiously capture images of people using the bathroom.

Detectives subsequently confirmed images of the victim were on Jackson-Freeman's devices.

Jackson-Freeman is being held at George W. Hill Correctional Facility. His bail was set at 10 percent of $250,000
