Delco Community College Taking Spring, Winter Registrations

Walk-in registration allows new students to apply, take a placement tests, meet with advisors, and register all in a single visit.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Delaware County Community College now taking student registrations for spring courses, as well as the winter online session.

Hopeful students can do walk-in registration, which allows them to apply, take a placement test, meet with an advisor and register all in a single visit.

Walk-In Wednesdays are being held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., every Wednesday (except for Dec. 25 and Jan. 1) at the following locations:

  • Marple Campus, 901 S. Media Line Road, Media;
  • Southeast Center, Folcroft East Business Park, 2000 Elmwood Avenue, Sharon Hill;
  • Pennocks Bridge Campus, Technical College High School, 280 Pennocks Bridge Road, West Grove;
  • and the Exton Center,906 Springdale Drive, Whiteland Business Park, Exton.

Students who need to take a placement test must arrive by 5 p.m.

Walk-In Saturdays are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 9, Dec. 7 and Jan. 4. Placement test takers must arrive by 11 a.m.

Walk-In Saturdays are held at following locations

  • Marple Campus;
  • Upper Darby Center, 1570 Garrett Road, Upper Darby;
  • Pennocks Bridge Campus;
  • and the Downingtown Campus, 100 BondDrive, Downingtown.

Two Registration Rush periods provide additional Walk-In Registration opportunities. The November Registration Rush occurs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Nov. 4 through Nov. 7, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Marple, Southeast Center, Pennocks Bridge Campus, and the Exton Center.

The January Registration Rush is from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Jan. 2, Jan. 6, Jan. 7 and Jan. 8 at Marple, Downingtown, Pennocks Bridge and the Upper Darby Center (Jan. 8 only).

You must arrive by 5 p.m. if you need to placement test.

In addition, Walk-In Registration will be also offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3 at Marple, Downingtown and Pennocks Bridge. You must arrive by 11 a.m. if you need to placement test.

The entire Walk-In Registration process can take up to four hours. Current students can meet with an advisor on Walk-In Registration days, or they can make an appointment with the Career & Counseling Center. If you plan to attend a Walk-In Registration day, start by going to Enrollment Central in Founders Hall at the Marple Campus, or start at the front desk if you are at one of the College’s other locations.

Non-Walk-In Course Registration Traditional registration for winter online and spring courses also is underway.

The winter online session runs for five weeks from Dec. 9 to Jan. 9, and the deadline for registering is Dec. 6. Winter online is perfect for getting ahead over the winter break. All courses are online and around-the-clock technological support is provided. There are 59 courses from which to choose for winter online. Applying is free.

The spring sessions offer four options, including traditional and accelerated courses, as well as online and on-campus classes. Each session features courses on a broad range of subjects, including allied health, business, communication, English, mathematics, public service, science and the trades. Courses are offered at each of the College’s seven campuses, with three locations in Delaware County and four in Chester County.
