Delco Wawa Wins Liquor License Bid
Another Wawa in Delaware County has won a liquor license, according to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
CLIFTON HEIGHTS, PA — Another Delaware County Wawa will be stocking booze after it won a liquor license auction recently, according to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
According to the board, a Wawa in Clifton Heights won the license with a $131,749 bid.
Wawa has six months from the issuance of the Notice of Selection to file a license application with the PLCB. The bids will be held in escrow by the PLCB, pending approval of the license application.

This marks the second Delco Wawa to win a license.
Earlier this year, a Middletown Township Wawa won a license with a $160,357 bid.

However, the Chadds Ford Wawa is the only store selling alcohol since 2019.
A Philadelphia Wawa also won a license earlier this year.
Patch has reached out to Wawa for details on plans for the Clifton Heights store and will update the story when details are made available.
