Furloughed Federal Workers Can Get Free Pet Food In Delco
The Providence Animal Center is offering free pet food for workers who are affected by the partial federal government shutdown.

MEDIA, PA — Thousands of federal government workers are furloughed as the partial federal government shutdown continues. And to help those workers and their pets, the Providence Animal Center is stepping up.
Starting on Thursday and lasting for the next two weeks or until the shutdown ends, the Providence Animal Center will offer free pet food to furloughed federal workers.
Each furloughed pet owner get take five ponds of cat food and 10 pounds of dog food per pet in their homes.

Any furloughed federal worker wishing to receive the food should email info@providenceac.org.
After contacting the center, a pick-up day will be scheduled.

Those looking to support Providence Animal Center’s efforts with a donation of pet food, non-generic, unopened and unexpired dry dog and cat food can be dropped off to the center, located at 555 Sandy Bank Road, in Media, at any time.
