Galaxy Burger and Beyond SF Fan Fun Extended at Springfield Mall!

Pop-up Restaurant and Science Fiction Adventure Now Through Feb. 21

Galaxy Burger and Beyond, a pop-up fast food and science fiction experience, has hit on an innovative approach to bring people back to the Springfield Mall. The opening weekend of the fan-driven adventure, which launched Jan. 29, was mostly sold out despite the threat of bad weather, prompting organizers to extend the event through Sunday, Feb. 21. https://galaxyburgerpopup.com/

“Judging by the feedback we’ve received via social media, our guests of all ages had a wonderful time exploring our five adventure zones,” says Joe McCullough, Galaxy Burger founder and CEO. “It’s exciting to see people coming back to the mall for a fun, family-friendly activity that is compliant with COVID protocols. Their enthusiasm is undeniable.”

As part of extensive COVID-19 safety protocols, tickets are timed to every 30 minutes. Immediately after arrival, guests have 30 minutes to enjoy pre-ordered meals in the restaurant where they may have a burger under the galactic weapons display, or even eat at the table where Han shot Greedo.

After fueling up, it’s time to blast off into five adventure zones, where guests have up to two hours to explore Q Bar, an 18-ft tall AT-AT, a 1:1 scale cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, a Star Trek Transporter replica, Iron Man's Hall of Armor and more. There are plenty of photo opportunities, and cosplay attire is encouraged.

At the conclusion of their tours, guests may visit partner vendors in the mall for additional merchandise and discounts. Tickets start at $47 for adults/$37 for kids ages 2-7 and include: choice of main dish, side, and a drink. VIP packages are also available, including a Valentine's Day VIP Special package (available Feb. 12-14 only) that includes a meal, two roses, a t-shirt, and a special dessert. Each ticket purchased will be entered into a drawing conducted Feb. 21 to win a Star Wars helmet hand-painted especially for the event.*
