Get Food Protection Certified In Delaware County
The Penn State Extension is offering ServSafe Food Safety Manager Course to help restaurants ensure they have clean and safe kitchens.
MEDIA, PA — By 2020, all restaurants in Pennsylvania must have at least one person in charge be a Certified Food Protection Manger. Luckily, the Penn State Extension is offering a ServSafe Food Safety Manager Course in Delaware County.
In Delco, the course will be taught at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 and Wednesday, April 17 at Penn State Brandywine in Media.
The cost is $185 per person.

The course is for individuals preparing for the food protection certification exam. Completing the course and passing the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Examination with a 75 percent or higher meets this requirement.
Certified ServSafe instructors/proctors — with a focus on teaching participants the importance of understanding, developing, and implementing proper food safety practices — will the course.

Course fee covers cost of the most recent addition of the ServSafe Manager book, exam answer sheet, and learning materials.
