Man Targeted Delco Cop In Drive-By Shooting: Police
A Chester man is behind bars after Pennsylvania State Police say he shot at a Chester Township Police officer early Sunday morning.

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, PA — A 22-year-old man is behind bars after targeting a police officer in a drive by shooting over the weekend, according to authorities.
Pennsylvania State Police said Dimitrius Barriera-Rivera, 22, of Chester, shot at a Chester Township police officer who was sitting in a marked car early Sunday morning.
According to state police, the incident occurred at about 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, along the Interstate 95 north.

The officer was sitting in their patrol vehicle when another vehicle drove by and fire three rounds at the patrol vehicle.
State police said the shooter's vehicle drove off, but was later found in Chester City along with Barriera-Rivera.

According to police, Barriera-Rivera admitted to shooting at the officer when speaking with state troopers.
Police also found evidence that Barriera-Rivera was the shooter in the vehicle he was driving, police said.
