Maris Grove Artist Sally Baldino's Paintings at Local Gallery

Maris Grove artist Sally Baldino’s watercolor paintings are on display at the West Chester Galleries. Baldino’s two watercolor paintings, Lake Path and Blue Bog, were chosen for the Barnes and Bradford Juried Exhibit. The exhibit is open until November 1.

A resident of Maris Grove, an Erickson Living senior living community in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, for more than eight years, Baldino has had two solo exhibitions in the community’s art gallery. Her work has also been exhibited in many solo, group, and juried shows and is on display in several private collections in New York and throughout the United States. She has a bachelor’s degree from the College of New Jersey and a master’s degree in Education from Arcadia University.

A devoted watercolorist for many years, Baldino describes her work as creative impressionism. Her paintings portray the scenic landscapes and dramatic settings recalled from her extensive travels in the Mediterranean, Europe, and North America. Her choices are varied which she feels keeps her fresh, and she enjoys painting on location because it is really about capturing the sense of light and atmosphere which adds spontaneity to her work.

“I was always interested in painters and paintings,” said Baldino, “I began as a self-taught artist and went on to workshops initially in Italy and classes at Pennsylvania Art Academy.” She continues to take workshops to keep active and engaged with art and artists.
