Media Spot Serves Some Of Area's Best Shawarma, Philly Mag Says

MEDIA, PA — Middle Eastern food is full of deep, rich flavors and fans of those flavors are always looking for a place that can get them just right.

Well, Philadelphia Magazine recently put out a list of the best places in and around Philly to get a Middle Eastern staple: shawarma.

Among the best on the list is Desert Rose in Media.

It was the chicken shawarma that was the focal point of Philly Mag's write up on the 305 W. State St. eatery.

Here's what they said about the dish:

This suburban BYO stole our hearts with their signature chicken schwarma — served with amba (pickled mango), pickled eggplant, tahini, and spicy harif sauce — and earned themselves a Best of Philly win in the process.
