Media's Hair Kutz Studio and The Media Theatre Remain Partners
Jackie Ferrell is waiting to cut your hair with a smile and a song in her heart.
"If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life," says Jackie Ferrell. She opened Hair Kutz Studio on State Street in Media 12 years ago, in 2008. Previously, she had worked with small family owned and operated hair businesses in Delaware County. That brought her up to two decades of experience. "By then, I was ready to start my own business," she said. She chose Everybody's Hometown- Media.
Media appealed to Jackie due to its busy State Street and The Media Theatre. "My son was involved with the theatre," she explained. "I grew to love the town. With the theatre just down the street, I have a song in my heart every day."
Originally a 'just walk in' studio, it's now by appointment only due to the recent and ongoing Pandemic of 2020. "We adapted and we will be here for our customers," she said. "When life gets hard, just keep moving. I love seeing my customers! They brighten my day."

Hair Kutz Studio has received excellent reviews and word of mouth from its clients. "Bring your children in, too," Jackie said. "This is a family shop."
She is happy to be Downtown Media’s Family Friendly Hair Studio. "We are open Tuesday through Saturday," she said. "My goal is to give you a great quality haircut and good customer service every time you are here. I have clients who work at Media Theatre and other businesses here in town. It's a wonderful circle to be in."

Jackie has done many wigs and cuts for shows at The Media Theatre. "Meeting the actors is a treat," she enthusiastically stated. "Each of them is so full of life, and then when I see them on stage it's really fulfilling plus we have a special connection. I'll never forget doing the military cuts for the show "Dogfight" a few years ago! Those guys were something else, and looked great by the way."
