Media's Tom's Dim Sum Gets New Competition From Tom's Dim Sum

MEDIA, PA — Hungry Media residents looking for dim sum have options, as the borough has two eateries called Tom's Dim Sum after a falling out between partners.

Tom’s Dim Sum Mania recently opened just two doors down from Tom's Dim Sum Media.

Tom Guo, a minority owner and namesake of Tom's Dim Sum Media, had a falling out with the partners there.

And in a stunning move, Guo opened Tom's Dim Sum Mania essentially right next to his old spot on East State Street in Media.

Guo told Fox 29 that he made the move after partners butted heads over expansion plans and was told to leave the restaurant.

"You do everything, then people use your name, then they kick you out," he told the outlet, "What do you think? Is that right?"

According to Fox, the restaurants will go to common pleas court to determine who has the naming rights.
