New Book Featured On Delaware County's 'StoryWalk' Outdoor Reading Experience
The kids' outdoor reading program in Media's Rose Tree Park has a new book about dinosaurs for kids to soak up along with fresh air.
Delaware County's library system launched its new "StoryWalk" program in the fall last year, with the children's book "The Bus for Us" by Suzanne Bloom being featured in the outdoor reading program.
Now in the new year, StoryWalk has a need book for kids to enjoy while taking in the outdoors.
“How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight,” written by Jane Yolen and illustrated by Mark Teague, will be featured in the program at Rose Tree Park in Media.

Delaware County Councilman Dave White joined Delaware County Libraries Director Catherine Bittle Tuesday to introduce the book to the program, which winds along the quarter-mile hillside path in Rose Tree Park, where 19 Plexiglas panels display the children’s books.
“StoryWalk is an interactive program that allows our young readers to exercise their minds and their bodies as they walk through beautiful Rose Tree Park,” White said in a statement. “We hope engaging programs such as this encourage literacy and a love for reading in our youth.”

“I’m excited that the newest StoryWalk title is “How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?” Bittle said in a statement. “It was one of my favorite stories to share with little readers when I was the children’s librarian at the Ridley Township Library. While it can be used as a teaching tool for proper bedtime behavior, the rhythmic verses, colorful illustrations, and silly antics of the dinosaurs make this a fun book to read anytime.”
StoryWalk at Rose Tree Park is free and open during park hours. The StoryWalk is geared for children ages 1 to 7.
Rose Tree Park is located at 1671 N. Providence Road, Media.
