Pennsylvania State Police Hosting Drug Take Back Day In Media
Delaware County residents can safely dispose of unused and unwanted medications Saturday at the Pennsylvania State Police Station in Media.
MEDIA, PA — Pennsylvania State Police in Delaware County are joining numerous other law enforcement agencies and the DEA to host a drug take back day.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 residents can safely dispose of unused and unwanted medications at the Pennsylvania State Police Station, 1342 W. Baltimore Pike in Media.
Bring your pills for disposal to the station for safe disposal. Liquids or needles are not accepted at the take back event.
The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Last fall Americans turned in nearly 460 tons (more than 900,000 pounds) of prescription drugs at more than 5,800 sites operated by the DEA and almost 4,800 of its state and local law enforcement partners.
Overall, in its 17 previous Take Back events, DEA and its partners have taken in almost 11 million pounds—nearly 5,500 tons—of pills.
