Republic Bank donates $5,000 to P.I.T.
Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (P.I.T.), a local college located in Media, PA, has received a $5,000 donation for students.

Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (P.I.T.), a local college located in Media, PA, the heart of Delaware County, has received a $5,000 donation from Republic Bank.
These funds come during a much-needed time as students face financial disruptions due to the coronavirus pandemic. The coronavirus pandemic has been uniquely hard on America's working class, causing higher unemployment among people without college degrees and eliminating low-wage jobs by the millions. A reflection of the average P.I.T. student. The money received will be allocated to various scholarships and used to meet the student financial need of those most impacted by the pandemic. “This unrestricted gift from our neighbors and partners at Republic Bank will provide much-needed support at a crucial time for our students, for which we are tremendously grateful,” said Matt Meyers, Executive Vice President of P.I.T.

Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, in Media, PA, is a Middle-States accredited, independent, non-profit, two-year college offering associate degrees in healthcare, cannabis studies, behavioral health, practical nursing, psychology, and physical therapy assistant. The college has been a celebrated provider of exceptional education, serving the Delaware County and Philadelphia Regions for over sixty-five years. P.I.T. is a smaller, more personal alternative to community college for transfer students and students pursuing a specialized certificate program.
P.I.T. has strong transfer agreements with more prominent universities in the area that allow students to transfer smoothly into a bachelor's degree program.
