Rose Tree Place Announces Fall Activities for Seniors

Classes and Excursions Support Active Aging

Media, Pa. – Rose Tree Place, a Watermark Retirement Community located in Media, announces Fall 2019 Watermark University classes and excursions open to both residents and area seniors. The current course catalog covers opportunities for fitness, education, socialization and fun in September through December and is available online at https://rosetreeplace.watermarkcommunities.com.

“We extend a special invitation to area seniors to join us for a class, event or excursion the first week of October to embrace the spirit of Active Aging Week,” said Rose Tree Place Community Life Director Karen Holahan. “The goal of Active Aging Week mirrors that of Watermark University, which is to encourage and empower aging adults to live full and active lives in all areas, from physical to social, from intellectual to vocational.”

Guided Tractor Tour of Linvilla Orchards – Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1:15 p.m. departure
Pathways Carnival with games, food and fun – Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2-4 p.m.
Bayada’s Fall Health Event with health screenings, information for improved wellness and a free exercise class – Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2-4 p.m.
“Caring for the Caregiver” Family Support Group with Dr. Roland Buccialia with a focus on dementia in loved ones – Thursday, Oct. 3, 7 p.m.
Watermark University Ballroom Dancing course – Friday, Oct. 4, 2 p.m.
Casino Event featuring a professional dealer to teach Texas Holdem, Poker and Black Jack; slot machines and video poker machines onsite at Rose Tree Place – Saturday, Oct. 5, 2-4 p.m.
Hot Air Balloon Rides at Rose Tree Place – Saturday, Oct. 6, 3-6 p.m.
Watermark University course on the Titanic with Dr. Joseph Edgette – Monday, Oct. 7, 2:30 p.m.

In addition to this Active Aging Week calendar, Rose Tree Place also highlights an upcoming Watermark University Art Show featuring seascape-themed pieces on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 3 p.m., and a Haunted Hayride at the Bates Motel on Thursday, Oct. 24, with a departure time of 6:30 p.m. from Rose Tree Place
