State Street Closing 2 Days A Week For Outdoor Dining, Shopping

MEDIA, PA — State Street in Media will close for two nights a week for outdoor dining and shopping starting this week.

The street will close from 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays to give diners and shoppers the chance to do just that in the fresh air amid the coronavirus.

Three municipal parking lots — Front Street and Olive near the courthouse, Jasper Street near Jackson Street behind the firehouse, and State Street and Gayley Street beside the Media Theatre — will be designated as "Parking for Salons & Shops"

Between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., those lots will be dedicated to retail shoppers and salons.
