Vote for Humanity’s Best Champions
Voting for candidates that have always upheld the status quo will curtail the happy survival of humans & Earth's beautiful biodiversity.
When it comes to choosing our elected officials selecting anyone without a holistic vision and an inner core desire to be honest, end poverty and promote the health and safety of her/his constituents and humanity above all else is a vote for the continuance of current problems and the growth of new ones.
The U.S. is not failing because of unlikeable and uncouth Donald Trump but because he continues the ideology and policies that victimize countless Americans and people around the world and are expressed through extreme materialism/predatory capitalism, militarism and xenophobia/demonization of those who are portrayed as different.
Some of the other widespread problems that are dooming the U.S. are:

- Too little is being done to fight climate change and the federal government & some state governments are aggravating the problem. There is continued extraction, processing, transport and use of fossil fuels and support of other industries that emit GHG’s or other poisons/radioactive materials. Locally, if finished, the Mariner East 2 pipeline project will expand Sunoco’s transport of the toxic and deadly explosive natural gas products of propane, ethane and butane.
- Corruption in local, state and federal politics that is fueled by greed and money.
- A broken healthcare system that leads to premature death, needless suffering, and bankruptcy for millions.
- The inability of so many people to get high quality K—12 education and post-secondary education.
- Poverty, the lack of well-paying and healthy jobs for so many people and the dire shortage of safe and healthy homes for millions of people.
- Mass incarceration and an unjust legal and law enforcement system which is most vividly portrayed by police officers killing on public streets unarmed Black and Brown people who are not being violent toward anyone.
Just replacing Trump with a person who has a better personality and not removing the systemic rot that promotes the above listed problems and others means nothing will fundamentally change and billions of people—many within but more outside of the United States—will suffer and prematurely die.
I don’t want to decorate the status quo with pretty and sweet- smelling flowers; I want to eliminate it and replace it with something far better—policies/actions based on the 10 Key Values of the Green Party which are best summarized by its 4 pillars: grassroots democracy, social justice & equal opportunity, ecological wisdom, and peace.

When I first heard of the 10 Key Values of the Green Party in the early 1990’s I knew that this party was far better than the Democratic Party to which I had belonged and represented the changes I wanted to see. The first Green Party candidates I remember voting for were Ralph Nader and Winona LaDuke in the 1996 election for President & Vice-President. Their values, character, and policy ideas were inspiring and exactly what the U.S. needed to become a peaceful and just country.
For the above reasons I am a Green and will on November 3, 2020 give my votes to the Greens running for President & Vice-President, Howie Hawkins & Angela Walker. My desire to see policies that promote the welfare of the planet and enable human and animal life to be healthy and thrive have also influenced my decision to vote for Olivia Faison, Tim Runkle and Richard Weiss: the PA Green Party candidates for Auditor General, State Treasurer and Attorney General, respectively.
