Wawa Ranked Among Best Employers In Nation: Forbes

Wawa, the Philadelphia area's favorite convenience chain, found itself on the new ranking of America's best employers for 2018 from Forbes.

WAWA, PA – Wawa, the Philadelphia area's favorite convenience chain, was recently ranked among the best employers in the nation, according to a new list from Forbes.

Wawa was ranked No. 126 nationally on the best employers list. It was ranked seventh among the 21 Pennsylvania companies on the list.

Forbes' rankings were released on Tuesday and include 500 companies that have more than 5,000 employees.

The highest-ranked Pennsylvania company was Penn Medical, which came in sixth in the nation overall.

The rankings of America's best large employers placed tire manufacturer Michelin at the top of the list while the grocery chain Trader Joe's took the No. 2 spot and Google came in at No. 3.

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to compile the list. Statista surveyed 30,000 people, asking respondents to rate how likely they'd be to recommend their employer to others, Forbes explains.

Respondents were also asked to nominate organizations outside of their own, according to Forbes.
