Taney lost 8-1 but the Philadelphia team is still in the tournament. They play a team from Chicago on Thursday. The winner of that game will advance to play Las Vegas on Saturday in the U.S. Championship game.

Davis, who this week made the cover of Sports Illustrated, left Wednesday’s game early, so that the team can bring her back on Saturday if they play.
