Jennifer Wasco gets 9 to 23 months in prison for stealing from a Susan G. Komen fundraiser

A woman convicted of stealing from a prominent cancer charity has been sentenced to prison time at Media Courthouse.
According to the Delaware County Times, Jennifer Wasco of Warminster was sentenced to 9 to 23 months in prison after pleading guilty to a pair of counts of theft by unlawful taking.
Wasco was accused of stealing the proceeds of an October 2013 event in Haverford which was meant to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a major charity for prevention of breast cancer. She was caught once a relative notified authorities that Wasco may not have turned over the money, leading to an investigation that involved her bank records. She was arrested and charged in May.
