ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, PA - Jesse Vodvarka's withdrawl from the 17th Congressional District Republican primary leaves voters with a clear choice in the November election: Democratic incumbent Conor Lamb and GOP candidate Sean Parnell.

Vodvarka, a Robinson business owner, withdrew from the race Tuesday after a legal challenge to his nominating petitions. "It's a heartbreak," he told the Ellwood City Ledger.

Lamb, a former federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Pittsburgh, is in his first term representing the 17th District serving most of Pittsburgh's northwestern suburbs. He was elected to represent the 18th District in 2018, but filed to run in the 17th District after a court-ordered congressional redistricting.
