A new ranking by Niche.com has answered that question, using data about teacher salary, experience and attendance. The recently-released rankings also take into consideration the district's academic, safety and resources. "A high ranking indicates that the district contains great schools with exceptional teachers who are offered excellent support and compensation," Niche.com said.

The website says the ranking provides a "comprehensive assessment of the quality, support, and compensation a district provides to its teachers."

The list was created using data various government and public sources, as well as opinion-based survey responses from current students, recent alumni and parents.
