UPDATE: Duquesne Light Crews Working to Restore Power Around the Region

Around 60 customers remain without service at Saturday night, but a utility spokesman says their power is expected to be back on by midnight.

Duquesne Light Co. crews continue to work to restore service to about 60 customers -- most in eastern suburbs  -- who remain without power Saturday night after storms Friday night.

These customers will be restored no later than midnight, spokesman Joey Vallarian said in a statement.

The number of customers without electricity is down from around 7,000 at the height of Feriday's storms.

Crews expect to restore service to all customers later in the day, Vallarian said.

They worked overnight to remove downed trees, repair wires and restore service around the region, he said.
