Hiker Helps Bride Reunite With Charms Honoring Late Father
A hiker in Robin Hill Park found a pair of charms a woman lost on her wedding day and found the owner's brother online.

MOON TOWNSHIP, PA — George Flevaris died more than three years ago, but his daughter has a feeling he showed up in spirit at her wedding recently.
Amber Flevaris had a pair of charms, one on each of her shoes, as she was walked down the aisle by her mother, according to a story from WTAE-TV Pittsburgh. Both charms were in memory of her father, George Flevaris. One had a photo of him included.
It wasn’t until after Flevaris left Robin Hill Park near Coraopolis, where she was for her wedding pictures, that she realized both charms were missing.

It turns out the charms were found, even before Flevaris and her wedding party left the park.
Cara Blyzwick found the charms while on a hike, and took to a local Facebook group, “Moon Connects,” to find the owner. She noticed a wedding party leaving the area when she spotted them on the ground.

Blyzwick said her friend who was with her at the time told her “someone’s really going to miss that” when the charms were found, she told WTAE-TV.
Flevaris’ brother-in-law just happened to be a member of the Facebook group, and immediately recognized the charms.
It was a “crazy coincidence,” Flevaris, who lives in Pittsburgh's Highland Park neighborhood, said in a TV Zoom interview that included Blyzwick.
“I’m so touched hearing the story about your father and it just feels meaningful that I’m able to be a part of it,” Blyzwick said.
One of the charms included the quote, "I'm with you every step of the way."
That's something Flevaris believes to be true of her father on that day.
"I think he definitely had a hand in this," she said.
