Rudolph “Rudy” Redek
Rudolph “Rudy” Redek, 88, of Moon, died Nov. 29 at Heritage Valley Sewickley. He was born in North Fayette on May 16, 1923.
He was the husband of the late Ruth Kennedy Redek and is survived by two sisters and many nieces and nephews. He may be best known for operating Redek Auto Service on Moon Clinton Road for more than 50 years. He was a charter member of the Moon Township Rotary Club and volunteered to collect trash along a three-mile stretch of University Boulevard.

Sherely J. “Sparky” Shannon
Sherely J. “Sparky” Shannon, 91, of Moon Township and formerly of North Carolina, died Nov. 30 at . He was born Sept. 14, 1920.

He was married for 69 years to Jean Giovengo Shannon and is survived by three children, 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He had served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a member of VFW Post 402, the American Legion and St. Margret Mary’s parish.
Services were held earlier this month at and entombment was conducted at Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors.
Richard J. Tomana
Richard J. Tomana, 79, of Moon and formerly Ambridge, died Nov. 30. He was born Feb. 16, 1932.
He was married for 57 years to Georgeann Foster Tomana and is survived by two children and three grandchildren. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and a graduate of Ambridge High School and Duquesne University, where he played on the varsity basketball team.
He also served in the Air Force as a first lieutenant.
