Moon Area Unveils Homecoming Week Schedule

A daily and dizzying list of homecoming activities can be found here.

MOON TOWNSHIP, PA - Homecoming Week is right around the corner in the Moon Area School District and the variety of events has been scheduled. Here’s what you need to know about the festivities, which kick off on Sept. 24:

High School Homecoming Week Dress Up Days

  • Sept. 24: Yinzer Day - wear your favorite Pittsburgh garb.
  • Sept. 25: Holiday Day (no masks) - freshmen, Halloween; sophomores, Valentine’s Day; Juniors, Christmas and seniors, Independence Day.
  • Sept. 26: Celebrity-Superhero Day.
  • Sept 27: Decade Day: Freshmen, 1990s; sophomores, 1960s; juniors 1970s and seniors 1980s.

Homecoming Parade and Carnival
The parade will begin Sept. 27th at 5:30 p.m. in the middle school parking lot and end at Tiger Stadium. The second annual carnival begins after the parade and runs until 8 p.m.

Homecoming Game
Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. versus Bethel Park; homecoming queen will be announced at halftime.

Homecoming Court
Consists of Pia Biancucci, Rose Broderick, Amanda Crago, Samantha Dunn, Amaya Faulkner and Samantha Truzzi.

Homecoming Dance
Sept. 29 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Tickets are available in room 224 for $15.
