Moon Police: Monaca Man Crashes Car, Can't Remember Where
A contractor is also detained at the 911th Airlift Wing in Moon Township on drug charges, police say.

Air Force Security Forces detained a contractor from Irwin on drug charges after he attempted to bring marijuana onto the 911th Airlift Wing, according to police.
Joshua Logan, 37, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana on the morning of April 4 at the Moon Township Air Reserve station.
Logan, a commercial contractor hired for work on the base, was carrying marijuana seeds and a roach in his truck, according to a criminal complaint filed by Moon Officer Judith DeAngelis.

Security at the base stopped Logan's vehicle for a routine search after he entered the grounds, when they discovered the marijuana. All vehicles are subject to searches on military installations.

- Police charged 11 people with underage drinking following following a party at 2 a.m. March 9 at 1205 Colony West Drive. Police charged the apartment's tenant, Kyle Niemiec, 20, of Somerset, with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. Moon Police Officer Alan Morrow wrote that officers found 15 PennDOT traffic signs lining the walls of Niemiec's apartment at the time of the arrest.
- Dylan James Harris, 22, of Monaca, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, speeding while driving under the influence, accidents involving unattended vehicles or property, reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to notify police of an accident on the morning of April 3. Police said Harris failed a sobriety test and was in a car accident at some point while driving, though he could not remember the location. His rear window was smashed and bumper was missing, police said in a complaint.
- Dustin James Mead, 36, of Moon Township, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, careless driving, and giving false reports to law enforcement following a motor vehicle crash on the morning of April 3 on the Interstate 376 West Business Route.
