RMU Students, Moon Residents Featured in Cast of 'Children of Eden' at Byham Theater
Pittsburgh Musical Theater and RMU collaborate to present the musical play with biblical themes derived from the book of Genesis.
More than 50 Robert Morris University students and members of several Moon Township families are among the cast of Children of Eden, a musical play with biblical themes scheduled for March 7-17 at the Byham Theater, Downtown.
Pittsburgh Musical Theater, a regional theater company based in the city's West End, and RMU are collaborating to present the family-friendly play by Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz.
Based on the Old Testament book of Genesis, Children of Eden features such biblical characters as Adam, Eve, Cain, Abel, Noah and his sons as well as their creator. The play's spiritual themes are particularly significant during a season when many families are preparing to observe Passover or Easter, according to Dr. Ken Gargaro, the PMT company's founding director.
