Steubenville Pike Auto Repair Charity Announces Fall Recipient of Semi-Annual Vehicle Giveaway

Steubenville Pike Auto Repair Charity donates 2 cars each year to a local individual or family

Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc. in Robinson Township is excited to announce Andrew Carnes of McKees Rocks as the fall recipient of their semi-annual vehicle giveaway, SPARC (Steubenville Pike Auto Repair Charity) program. Andrew is a young, hardworking, single parent. He and his son take a city bus to daycare every morning, then Andrew takes another bus to work and repeats the process in reverse every evening.

Mr. Carnes was nominated by Pastor Murray of 2nd Baptist Church on Locust Street in McKees Rocks where Andrew regularly attends services. SPARC’s selection committee chose him because of his inspiring story. Andrew has not let his lack of personal transportation keep him from working and building a better life for himself and his son. Local nonprofit, Heroes Supporting Heroes graciously paid the taxes and state transfer fees for Mr. Carnes’ vehicle.

“Andrew is another representative of Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc.’s continued mission to give back to the community and change lives one vehicle at a time,” said Jason Pottle, President of Steubenville Pike Auto. “He exemplifies the type of individual that will find a way to succeed no matter what life throws at him and we are grateful to be given the opportunity to help make his life a little simpler.”

The organization received many worthy nominations. “It is always a very difficult decision to choose one recipient to receive a vehicle when we realize that there are so many deserving people in need; we take the task very seriously,” said a spokesperson from Steubenville Pike Auto.

Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc. will be giving away another vehicle to a deserving individual or family on May 29, 2017. Nominations will be accepted in mid-April through www.steubenvillepike.com by clicking on the SPARC logo.
