Suspect Charged In Fatal Stabbing Of Moon Man

The suspect apparently was shot by the victim before he died.

MOON TOWNSHIP, PA - A man found with a gunshot wound in a CVS pharmacy parking lot in Carnegie has been charged with fatally stabbing a Moon man in his home Monday evening.

Timothy Pauley, 34, is charged with homicide, tampering with evidence and false reports to law enforcement in connection with the death of Thomas Garner, 48, of McKinney Drive. Pauley is being treated at an area hospital for his wound.

Garner called 911 at around 10:45 p.m. Monday to say that he’d been stabbed at his McKinney Drive residence. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.

Pauley initially told Carnegie police that he was shot during a robbery attempt in the CVS parking lot. WPXI-TV reported that Pauley told police that Garner was stabbed after shooting him when he declined Garner’s sexual proposition.

Pauley said that he and Garner previously had worked together.

Garner was vice president, title operations, of Inspire Closing Services of Moon, according to that company’s website.
