Teen Hospitalized After School Gymnastics Accident

MOON TOWNSHIP, PA - A Moon Area High School student reportedly was hospitalized after a gymnastics accident at the school on Tuesday. The Moon Area Gymnastics Association board confirmed the incident in a social media post.

"There was an accident in the gym involving one of our gymnasts," the post stated. "We are closely following the situation, however we do not have any information to share at this time. When more details become available, we will share what we can."

WPXI-TV reported that the unidentified 15-year-old student was flown to UPMC Children's Hospital following the accident, which occurred in the Moon Area Middle School gym.
