The Yard Expanding To Robinson

The popular gastropub is preparing to open its first location in Pittsburgh's western suburbs.

ROBINSON, PA - If residents of the western suburbs want to visit one of the locations of the popular restaurant The Yard, they have to drive for miles - but not for much longer. The Pittsburgh-based chain is coming to Robinson.

The Yard will expand in late October to a location next to its sister restaurant, Stout Pub & Kitchen (the former Bocktown Beer and Grill) on Chauvet Drive. The Yard’s current locations are in Shadyside, Market Square, the Galleria in Mt. Lebanon and PPG Paints Arena.

The Yard in Robinson will feature the same menu as the other locations, and the chain will be offering a “Yard To Table” (farm to table) weekend entrees feature there similar to the one at the Galleria location.

For those who aren’t familiar with the gastropub, it specializes in gourmet grilled cheeses, burgers and craft beers.

To mark the new location’s upcoming opening, beginning Sept. 3 through Sept. 17, Stout patrons are invited to be taste-testers for potential new grilled cheeses for The Yard’s menu. There are five sandwiches to sample, and those who do will receive a free app card to be used on their next Stout visit.
